Founder, Dr. Lorne E. Parker, Rotarian and humanitarian, was the recipient of Rotary's Highest Honour The Service Above Self Award, 2023. Sadly, after having lost our founder in 2025, Steven's Hope will continue to build HOPE in Lorne's memory.

In collaboration with the Mozambique partners, members of the Steven's Hope organization provide direct oversight for all aspects of the school construction processes.

Though contract terms are negotiated directly by Steven’s Hope, The Maputo Rotary Club acts as our agent in Mozambique, entering into construction contracts on our behalf securing local contractors and materials that support local communities.
